Thank you to the Washington Post for starting this data project in Jan 2015 to catalog all police killings in the United States. There is no single answer that fully explains the injustice faced by so many. I was left with some more questions with which to start conversations, though: what would make policemen more likely to use deadly force at the beginning of the year compared to holiday season? Why do some states have such high killings per 100 thousand inhabitants? Looking at you, New Mexico.
